Attributes of a Good Clinical Supervisor

This module provides an opportunity for supervisors to reflect on their own self practice as a workplace supervisor and develop strategies to obtain effective feedback in order to continuously improve their supervisory skills. The lesson invites participants to reflect on and compare their views on attributes of a good supervisor. The most valued attributes of clinical supervisors, according to a survey of health care professionals, are identified and looked at in more detail. Participants will then be asked to apply what they have learnt to an example of a supervisor-student pair.
